Last updated: 2 August 2026
1Acceptance of Terms
By booking a session, submitting the contact form, or otherwise using Academic Horizone’s services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
2Service Description
Academic Horizone provides academic guidance, feedback, editing, and mentoring services, as described on our Services page. We do not write, complete, or submit academic work on a student’s behalf — see our Academic Integrity Policy.
3User Responsibilities
- You must provide accurate information when booking a session
- You remain responsible for compliance with your own institution’s academic rules
- You agree not to request work that would breach our Academic Integrity Policy
4Payment & Refunds
Payment is due at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout or confirmed directly with you when a session is arranged.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us as much notice as possible. Sessions cancelled with reasonable notice ahead of the scheduled time are eligible for a full refund or free rescheduling. Late cancellations and missed sessions may not be refundable, since advisor time has already been reserved on your behalf. Where a session could not proceed due to a fault on our side, you are entitled to a full refund or a rescheduled session at no extra cost.
Refund requests can be sent to support@academichorizone.com and will be reviewed and responded to promptly.
5Intellectual Property
Any work you share with an advisor remains your own intellectual property. Guidance materials, templates, and articles published by Academic Horizone remain our property unless stated otherwise.
6Limitation of Liability
Our services are provided on a guidance basis, and while we take care to match you with a suitably qualified advisor and provide constructive, professional feedback, we do not control how that guidance is subsequently used or the academic outcome that results from it.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Academic Horizone is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from use of our services, including but not limited to lost grades, missed deadlines caused by factors outside our control, or decisions made independently by the student after a session. Nothing in this clause limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
7Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
8Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Academic Horizone is legally established and operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will first be addressed through good-faith direct discussion between the parties before any formal proceedings are considered.
