Academic Integrity Policy
The commitment behind every service we offer.
This policy sets out, in full, what we will and won’t do — and why.
Last updated: 2 August 2026
Purpose
Academic Horizone exists to strengthen students’ own academic work through guidance, feedback, and mentoring. This policy exists so that promise is written down, not just implied — and so every advisor and every student knows exactly where the line sits.
What We Provide
- Feedback on drafts the student has written themselves
- Explanation of concepts, methods, and referencing standards
- Guidance on structure, argument, and research approach
- Mentoring and study-skills coaching
What We Don’t Provide
We will not write, complete, or substantially rewrite an assignment, essay, dissertation, or any other piece of work intended for submission. We will not sit an exam or online test on a student’s behalf. We will not guarantee a specific grade.
Student Responsibility
Students remain fully responsible for their own submitted work, including compliance with their institution’s own academic integrity rules, which may be stricter than or different from this policy.
Advisor Conduct
Advisors are expected to decline any request that would breach this policy, regardless of deadline pressure, and to note the redirection in the session record so patterns can be reviewed and advisors supported consistently.
Policy Violations
If a student repeatedly requests work that would breach this policy after it has been explained, we reserve the right to decline further sessions. If an advisor is found to have provided work in breach of this policy, that engagement is ended immediately. In both cases, we aim to communicate the decision directly and clearly rather than silently discontinuing a service.
